Irelis Rodriguez Castro, MD, is a primary care doctor at NextHealth Care providing high-quality care with a functional medicine approach to individuals and families in Debary, Florida, and throughout Volusia County.

She studied at the University of Puerto Rico, earning her undergraduate degree in biology. Then she enrolled at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, and obtained her medical degree. Before entering private practice, she completed medical internship training in Puerto Rico.

At NextHealth Care, Dr. Rodriguez diagnoses and treats various acute and chronic health conditions using a modern medicine and functional medicine approach that works to identify the root cause of disease rather than simply masking symptoms.

Dr. Rodriguez speaks English and Spanish fluently. She’s certified in IV nutrition therapy, hormone therapy, bioenergetics, cardiometabolic and gastrointestinal health from The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).

Dr. Rodriguez is a member of the Florida Medical Association (FMA), Pan-American Medical Association of Central Florida (PAMA), The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and El Colegio de Médicos Cirujanos de Puerto Rico.

Alireza Ebneshahidi, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor at NextHealth Care providing family medicine and wellness services in Debary, Florida, and throughout Volusia County.

Dr. Ebneshahidi studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico, earning his medical degree. Then, he completed an internal medicine internship at Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and a family medicine residency at Bella Vista Hospital in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

 At NextHealth Care Dr. Ebneshahidi provides family medicine services to individuals and families. He takes a conservative and patient-centered treatment approach, emphasizing education, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle changes. Dr. Ebneshahidi speaks English, Spanish, and Farsi fluently, letting him serve the practice’s diverse clientele.

Dr. Ebneshahidi is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Travis County Medical Society. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in continuing education and contributing to medical publications.
